After Anwar is charged in court tomorrow, it would be interesting to see whether he is granted or denied bail.
An Anwar behind bars awaiting his trial would somewhat lessen the great odds against an Umno victory in the Permatang Pauh by-election later this month.
Yes, people would sympathise more with him but he won’t be around to further whip up voter sentiment against the establishment during the campaign period.
An Anwar on the loose would see Umno stripped naked and humiliated in Permatang Pauh.
Since the party is already in tatters, that shouldn’t be too difficult a task.
SO, what’s the action plan for Permatang Pauh, KJ?
Shall we have a “balik kampung” campaign to encourage outstation Permatang Pauh youth to go back and vote?
Shall we bus them back for free and give them some spending money as well?
