Drilling Down

Listen to this:

On Pas Youth’s reason for going all-out to protest [Indonesian dangdut queen] Inul’s concert [to be held at Stadium Bukit Jalil on Sunday], [Federal Territory Pas Youth chief] Kamaruzaman said: “Have you seen her in action? Just go to the YouTube website and type her name and you will see that her shows are quite obscene. Even I can’t bear watching her.”

He said her concerts were known to make the crowd go “wild sexually” and that this could lead to social problems.

“Once they go wild, some will resort to sex by the roadside. So it’s best that her concert does not go on,” he said. [New Straits Times]

Wow. Go to concert. Watch Inul do the “drill”. Get turned on. Have roadside sex.

Malaysia is such a happening place.

AND speaking of sex, here’s the rebuttal to the rebuttal — Why I Still Believe Anwar Is Not Guilty.

If there’s more coming, maybe someone should compile it all into a booklet.

PLUS, check this out:

The Malaysian Insider understands that the police are considering making public close-circuit television footage to show the treatment given to the Opposition leader when he was in detention at the KL police headquarters. [Malaysian Insider]

How long was Anwar detained?

Unless the plan is to show footage of the entire duration that Anwar was held, it is a bad, bad idea.

Because if you just show parts that put the police in a glowing light, people will ask about the shite that was left out.

Then they’ll start speculating that those parts were not made public because the police have something to hide.

So it’s all or nothing.

Since “all” would involve hours of footage, I suggest the police put out a DVD.

Maybe we can also have a multi-disc special edition, with exclusive footage of his arrest and interviews with the men in ski masks on how they managed to pull off such a risky operation involving a highly dangerous suspect and an angry mob that stood in the way.
